Anecdote alert; Mum was diagnosed with high cholesterol years ago. When she was hit with breast cancer circus hoops one year before she died, she handed me her 'cookbook' for low cholesterol. Knowing it was not my style, I threw the paperback in the trash but never told her. She died age 76 in 2008. I have felt guilty ever since, until reading this today. Thanks J for letting me let that go. Whew!
I’m sorry about your mum...and you should know she did the best she could with the information she received. I think this gets to the core of why I do what I do and probably Daryl as well. I simply refuse to exist in a world where the truth is not shouted from the rooftops for those willing to hear!
I appreciate that, thank you. Going from childhood with only two doctor visits in 18yrs, to current societal pressure for perma-paranoia, expected to fret about each freckle, finding the golden mean is challenging. Ay, there's the rub. I credit beef liver for hemoglobin stability!
