Old Irish Proverb: Happiness follows simplicity.

Especially in nature. Making sense of basics is a joy overlooked by all but poets. It is essential to reclaim and validate what one loves most, and express its roots.

For oft, when on my couch I lie

In vacant or in pensive mood,

They flash upon that inward eye

Which is the bliss of solitude;

And then my heart with pleasure fills,

And dances with the daffodils.

(Wordsworth, Lakes District of England, Romantics era APR1802)

Makes perfect sense, I am the same. I have a blueberry plant and a cherry tree in my yard which I let the birds and animals eat mostly but refuse to be an all or nothing type. I just hope they don't give me issues because I have always loved blueberries.

And bunny hill sounds awesome! You should post some pics of them sometime.

Well if they do…that just tells you there is more healing to do! The body is self correcting over time if things haven’t gone too far which is also why we try so hard to educate people now so they don’t have to deal with trying to fix it on the back end…like all of us have😊

Oh and I am MAKING Daryl take me to bunny hill😂😂

Totally agree with your sentiments Daryl on plants. I feel them too and love my plants. I am currently carnivore but totally not tribal at all and hate the tribal attitude so much. I'm still growing my garden because I love to be in it and touch and talk to my plants. Even if I give it all away it still brings me joy and it makes me not mad at the rabbits if they get into it, 😂

Great talk guys as always!

I resonate so much w this! I don’t think it’s necessary to be so “inclusive” w it if that makes sense. Not sure I am using that saying appropriately here. But for example: I’m not going to be afraid of blueberries because it’s not meat. You know?

& awee we loveeee rabbits 🥰.

We have a spot here in Victoria BC that’s called bunny hill or rabbit hill, something like that, because rabbits just hangout there & it’s so random because its pretty close to a highway😅. It’s the cutest thing ever!

You know the real beauty around that is the needs of the body also change over time! Carnivore is powerful in so many ways but may not be necessary forever for some. Still others keep diseases in remission with it so they will do it forever. But being in touch with nature keeps is keenly aware of the subtle changes even in ourselves and what we may need now and what we may need in the future!

So true. Since we started in January (we're in PA) still haven't had any seasonal fruits/veggies yet but I'm acutely aware of my body and how it reacts to food. I look forward to seeing what I can re-incorporate and what I can't. But whole foods only forever is my one non-negotiable.

I think Daryl and I agree that is a dogma worth sticking with!😁
