There is a book written by Yeonmi Park, who escaped North Korea (such horrors crossing Gobi desert etc.) and in one particular interview, she explained the tactics of the despots who control the country, including rural farmers intentionally being limited to what they can/cannot grow and what they can/cannot eat. She actually said that the size of the population (height/weight) is controlled to keep them from getting too big or too strong. She had to go out some days to catch dragon flies and such near the water for her family to eat when she was little, since each member of the family was expected to do their part. She even said her father was not as poor as many others in the area, but this was the expectation they all had. It must be done. In a twisted way, she inferred that it was worth being sold into sex slavery to escape. Just imagine that. Even Audrey Hepburn admitted her tiny frame was due to lack of nutrition during the war, and that as part of the resistance, she nearly starved. Ghastly.
I remember in her book how she described how happy she was when able to catch a bug since it gave her badly needed protein. I think about her every time the evil Bill Gates talks about how the little people will be eating bugs.
More than lazy, Republicans are chickenshit. They’re either paid off or blackmailed so they pretend horrible things aren’t happening. I hate them as much as I hate the democrats, and that’s A LOT.
